When: Thursday, November 17th at 11:30 a.m.

Join us Thursday, November 17th at 11:30am to remind Governor Youngkin and his administration that Virginia needs RGGI!
The 2022 Virginia Governor's Housing Conference (VAGHC) is coming up. Although the conference is run by the department that administers the energy efficiency funds from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), this successful program is scarce on the agenda of the conference. Energy efficiency makes housing more affordable, and we want to push the administration to stay in RGGI to continue to reduce the energy burden on low income Virginians. The need for these funds already outweighs what is currently available.
Why Virginia Needs RGGI:
Energy efficiency is a smart investment that pays for itself – but low-income households can’t afford the upfront costs by themselves, perpetuating a cycle of absurdly high energy bills and wasted energy. Tell Governor Youngkin: Don’t repeal RGGI’s investment in energy efficiency for low income housing programs!
