Arlington County Hub Updates

In an email to Arlington County supporters, Eric Goplerud, founder and chair of Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions, shared the good news that Julie Rosenberg has agreed to serve as interim leader of the FACS-Arlington hub. Read more in the blog post here.

The Arlington hub has been advocating to the County Board for a greater level of climate action in the FY2023 budget. The major effort is to have the County create a Chief Climate Officer at the top level of government to oversee a whole of government approach viewed through a climate lens. The Arlington Hub has also begun planning a program on the carbon costs of our lifestyles and changes that individuals can make to minimize their carbon footprint.

The Arlington Hub monthly meeting will be on the first Wednesday of the month, with the next meeting on April 6th at 7:30 p.m.

FACS' Monthly Sustainability Tip!

Track your trash! See what items are filling your trash can. Then, take steps to reduce your reliance on those items and/or find sustainable swaps for them. For example, if you're finding lots of plastic wrap in your trash, switch to reusable beeswax!
