The Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions (FACS) Sustainability Champions Awards celebrate and recognize the contributions of individuals, congregations and elected officials/public sector employees, and businesses in Northern Virginia. These individuals and organizations work tirelessly toward improving the environment; contributing to a healthy, livable climate, in our community!
This year we will honor our awardees in a virtual event. With the theme "Vision 2030", the program will open with remarks from Fairfax County Chair of the Board of Supervisors Jeff McKay and Fairfax County School Board Chair Karen Corbett Sanders. You'll hear from each awardee and learn how they continue to advance sustainability and equity in our region.
The 2020 winners are:

- Faith Community: Mount Vernon Unitarian Church
- Elected Official: Karl Frisch, Fairfax County School Board
- Local Business: GreenFare Restaurant in Herndon Virginia
